VISION
At ReSole, our vision is to make dance accessible to everyone, no matter where they come from. We aim to reach over 1,000 underserved communities worldwide, because every person deserves the chance to move, express, and grow through dance.

Dance shoes might seem small, but they carry stories, confidence, and opportunity. Too often, they’re left behind or thrown away, even though they still hold value. Instead of seeing dance shoes as waste, we can view them as part of the circular economy, where items are reused, redistributed, and kept in the economy for as long as possible.
By implementing this, we give them new life, reduce waste, empower dancers, and keep art as accessible as can be. This is ReSole's vision.
About me

Koel Malhotra, Founder
Hi, I'm Koel Malhotra, a UWCSEA Student based in Singapore. I created ReSole to build a bridge between sustainability, economics, and accessibility to the arts.
I grew up dancing, and I’ve been lucky to always have access to the shoes and resources I needed. It became something I love, and something that helped me express myself and feel confident. Not everyone gets that chance. So many people may love to dance just as much, but never get the opportunity, simply because they don’t have proper shoes to do so. I decided to focus on dance shoes because they’re essential but often overlooked. People grow out of them, switch styles, or stop dancing altogether, and the shoes just sit there or get thrown away. At the same time, there are children and communities who would use those exact shoes if they had the opportunity to access them.
This project is very dear to me, and has created a difference with the help of multiple dance schools across Singapore, supporters in NGOs globally, and the community of people in Singapore who have donated to this cause. This would not be possible without them, and I am very grateful toward our community!
